Skill building for industry courses

Programs targeted to specific industry areas and specialities

We deliver courses designed to give you a solid foundation to move in to current industry areas. We also run rapid up-skilling workshops to respond to areas of demand in the film and visual arts industries.

Maintaining currency and undertaking ongoing professional development can be challenging for teachers in the creative industries. We also facilitate short intensive workshops for secondary and tertiary teachers to brush up on new processes and techniques in their areas of speciality.

Targeted courses

Our skills for industry courses are designed to be useful and to be applied in various industry areas right now. We focus on what you will be able to use now and in the future and don’t worry about the irrelevant stuff.

Relevant content

Our content and our resources are current and up to date. What you learn is what our facilitators use in their professional practice right now, not something developed just for the sake of ticking a box that was decided years ago.

Hands-on activities

We don't just teach you what something is and how it works, we show you how to apply it and put it into practice.

Resources that are yours to keep

It’s hard to remember everything and to prioritise what you might need today and what you might need in few months - so the learning materials, techniques and research we will cover are yours to keep and access forever. New learning materials we find or create you will also be made available.

Engaged learning through real, hands on, processes

You will test, explore and try out the processes and techniques you learn to make sure they are relevant and that you know how to use them when it counts.
