Face to face learning isn’t for everyone, for lots of reasons. Time constraints, family, work, remote locations, health issues and many more factors can all make in person learning challenging. Some of us simply don’t enjoy or aren’t able to work around a group of other people. We get it.
Online learning can be even more challenging if it isn’t delivered well. It can be isolating, disconnected and frustrating with lots of waiting around for help and irrelevant resources. We get that too. We have a lot of experience with online study, having delivered courses for many years and having sat on the other side of the screen as students ourselves.
At Bay Arts our online courses include small group and one on one tuition when needed, dynamic current resources, and access to the people who created the course content when you have questions. We won’t leave you to your own devices unless you want us to.
Fun courses
Learning online can be a rich, rewarding and fun experience if you are in the right course. We have crafted, refined and continually adjust ours to make sure they aren’t dull and tedious.
Relevant content
Our content and our resources are current and up to date. What you learn is what our facilitators use in their professional practice right now, not something just for the sake of ticking a box that was decided years ago.
Hands-on activities
Our activities are designed to keep you engaged, have fun, and teach you how to be inventive and resourceful. We will show you how to make art and follow the design process with what you have at home, or can source for free or at minimal cost. We don't just teach you what a particular process is, or how it works, we show you how to apply it and put it into practice
Lifetime access to resources
The learning materials, techniques and research we will cover are yours to keep and access forever. Any research we gather and new materials we find or create you will also have access to.
Creative learning through making and doing
It all begins with an idea….. then figuring out how to make it real. Our activities and lessons are designed so that you can do them at home with materials you already have or can access easily. They build upon each other with every outcome linking to the next.
Each step is small and fun, but the end result is big and exciting. The course is about doing not trying to mindlessly absorb things.
